Get some Good Attention from Apology Kink
Sitting squarely at the intersection of darkwave and synthpop, new single "Good Attention" aims to please
In "Good Attention," voyeuristic lyrics exploring power and pleasure are whispered red-hot next to Nile Rodgers-esque rhythm guitar over a debaucherous bed of machine drums and vintage synths. Combine it all with a positively scorching guitar solo and infectious hook and you've got the necessary ingredients for another stately Apology Kink triumph.
The French electro-flavored dance mix by producer Garrett Neal (whose credits include Holidae and countless productions for HBO, MTV, and more) highlights the song's disco-flavored elements by adding dubbed-out vocals and gratifying funk bass and synth lines.
