LAW D. Soul delivers New York take on Miami bass
Multi-instrumentalist, producer, emcee, and fashion designer LAW D. Soul has music in his blood and fire in his belly. Active since 2014 and set apart by raw, infectious talent and refusing to box himself in by genre, LAW moves with what feels natural, equally inspired by house, bass, hip-hop and beyond.
In 2019, the tragic loss of his brother forced the artist to see his craft in a new light. That mental shift became a turning point, pushing LAW to approach life with a new hunger, animating everything he touches with both fierce intention and infectious, affirming joy. After a crucial stint in Los Angeles, the multihyphenate has now returned to his home state of New York, freshly signed to GIVE/TAKE and set to release his first fully-electronic effort.
The nine tracks on the forthcoming Sex, Pills, BASS & Thrill deftly tackle multiple styles of underground electronic, including house, techno, the eponymous bass and more. The songs slip effortlessly from grimy to sublime, heady to sexy, and back again.
