Disturb the System
GIVE/TAKE presents the postscript to EbE404’s modular synth head-trip, Inrush, in the form of Ripple.
Devoured and mutated by four skilled remix artists, Ripple begins with Dallas-based ManifestiV’s beguiling and hazy Traction Mix of “Slipping By One.” Artists from Minneapolis — the city EbE404 calls home — round out the remainder of guest contributions. Tiree & Hutch score an acidic action film-esque thriller with their ji-minoseg dub of “Spectral Headboard,” IDM/power noise stalwart Dissociate malfunctions with expert intent on his “Zoom Team” interpretation and lastly, KPT breathes bleak malice all over his Purify Mix of “After Zoom Team.”
The capstone of Ripple however, lies in its finale, a 20+ minute-long anxiety-inducing live reinterpretation of the remaining tracks from Inrush by EbE404 themselves, shadowing its footsteps with agitational technique.

“Inrush is the story of a day of patterns and cycles that endlessly repeat and shift as we move through reality. Ripple takes those same patterns and exposes them to the outside world of influences. The results are echoes of the familiar routine ringing through wholly new spaces and moments. Our friends have helped create a wonderful new and darkly rewarding journey.” -EbE404
