Tactical Pagan re-press and new “Awakening” merch
Selling out swiftly upon release, Andy Swan's Tactical Pagan project receives re-pressing
Critically acclaimed for "cutting out all the worst parts of industrial and throwing in the desolate, abandoned and hopeless," and called “a timely examination of the current state of affairs," the self-titled album from Birmingham, UK-based Tactical Pagan draws from the industrial soundscape of the early ’80s, weaving elements of post-industrial, trip-hop, and sprawling downtempo electronics into a hypnotic, codeine-induced haze. Discordant guitar, eroded beats, distant vocal samples, and atmospheric synths contort into a mesmerizing, shot-on-VHS aesthetic.
We’re pleased to bring the first Tactical Pagan full-length back on limited maxi-style CD for those who missed the first pressing (it sold out fast). Recorded direct to 8-track and mastered by Justin K Broadrick (GODFLESH/jesu), it's now available to own.
Also, don't miss two newly designed Tactical Pagan tees featuring a variation on the iconic "Awakening" cover art by NEGATIVEMEDITATION.
Helmed by Andy Swan, Tactical Pagan marked a new chapter for the veteran artist, who began his music career in the early 1980s, inspired by the industrial sounds of Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse, and Cabaret Voltaire. Over the years, Swan worked alongside Justin K Broadrick in Final, before transitioning into dance music in the early ’90s, forming IROHA in the mid-2000s, and most-recently contributing as a member of industrial metal project khost.
Released worldwide by Avalanche Recordings and GIVE/TAKE, own the second pressing of Tactical Pagan now.

“Dark, primal, and trance-like…the album makes a monolithic impression. Definitely one of the best albums of the year in the ‘music that wants to hurt the listener’ category.” - Anxious Musick Magazine

Apology Kink - Good Attention
Voyeuristic lyrics are whispered red-hot next to Nile Rodgers-esque guitar over a debaucherous bed of machine drums and synths. Combine it all and you've got the necessary ingredients for another infectious Apology Kink triumph.
