Escape reality with Derealizer from IDM god Dissociate
Derealizer, the latest from Minneapolis-based noisemaker Dissociate, is a chilling high-energy eruption. Harder and yet more tuneful than 2023's Opt Out, with torrents of growling and screaming synths, the album wrings out our entire plane of existence while maintaining musicality in the form of expansive melody and continual swing.
Dissociate's signature IDM and glitch shine as ever, but he subtly reinvents himself with the introduction of some welcome genre-bending. From downtempo trance and drowning, tuned 808s to harsh industrial, Derealizer remains notably cohesive and maintains suspense and excitement throughout a brisk 30 minute runtime.
Side effects may include: Auditory hallucinations, lightheadedness, altered sense of time, disconnecting from one's thoughts or feelings, loss of memory or identity, and out-of-body experiences (obe). Ingest whole at maximum volume.
Dissociate's Derealizer is available for pre-order now on limited, custom flash drive (also containing Opt Out) and digital.

"Derealizer is a meditation interrupted by intrusive thoughts, sleep disorders, and medical trauma. The medication only helps so much and the caffeine intake is excessive, but continued existence is an essential act of defiance in the face of a dangerously absurd reality." -Dissociate
