We Are The World No More
"Piggy Bastard" is the last call from We Are The World. Offering a mysterious goodbye from the minds and hearts of Megan and Robbie, it is a sonic mint julep snapshot of the atmospheric pressure in the deep south during the abolition of slavery.
We Are The World was a boundary-defying experimental band formed in the 2000's blending dark, heavily percussive electronic music with dance, visual and performance art. They were critically hailed by NME, LA Weekly, Stereogum, L.A. Record and lauded by stars like the late actor/filmmaker Dennis Hopper and Lady Gaga (who once called We Are The World her favorite band). This is their final song.
The follow-up to 2020’s Tedium and Loss, is a sprawling continuous-mix style LP full of modular spasms, insect-like swarms, glitches and rich, ominous soundscapes.
Contains three remixes of songs from ManifestiV's prior albums as well as an additional triptych of compositions which offer a fleeting glimpse into the band's upcoming formal release.
