KPT Surprise-Releases FREE Full-Length Album, Big Witch
While fans patiently await his sophomore LP DARK.HOUSE (available for pre-order now via GIVE/TAKE and Communiqué Records) releasing on August 7th, dark electronic artist KPT has just surprise-released a FREE (name your price) full-length record, entitled Big Witch.
Comprised of 11 brand-new songs, Big Witch is all at once abrasive and beautiful, chaotic yet hyper-focused and brimming with shadowy surprises.
Haunting melodies shatter into moments of sheer terror, interspersed with bursts of distorted kicks and biting analog synth. All cooperating to construct a score for a film that exists only in nightmares.
KPT had the following to say regarding the release:
“The last thing I’d expected to do right now is produce another full-length record, but here we are. Culled from two of my live sets dating back to 2014 and 2016 respectively, Big Witch flowed out of me with stunning ease. I wanted the rollout to be just as fluid. Fast and free.
I’d consider this the antithesis to DARK.HOUSE to an extent. You can’t have one without the other. Although both are really meant to be ingested as a continuous listen, Big Witch is chaotic and seemingly abstract opposed to DARK.HOUSE’s meticulous sequencing.”
